With Woodside’s new Pluto project well under way, Tutt Bryant Crane Hire is once again working closely with Harbourworks Clough during the construction phase of the new load out wharf.

Harbourworks Clough took delivery of the 5th of the 7 cranes ordered, for Woodside’s Pluto project in Dampier in May 2008.

Already having 1 x SC1000 (100ton crane) on a jack up barge, 2 x SCX2500 (250ton cranes) and 1 x SC1500 (150ton crane) in their lay down yards, Tutt Bryant supplied Harbourworks Clough the 5th crane, another SCX2500 and loaded it onto another barge.

At a radius of 14 meters, and coming in at 59.9ton, one of the SCX2500 cranes lifted the other SCX2500 with ease and placed it safely onto the barge crane mats.

The cranes are being used in the construction of the new wharf, which upon completion will export LNG from the North West of Western Australia to Asia.

Tutt Bryant is also working with CB&I and BGC on the construction phase of the tanks on the Pluto A site.

Tutt Bryant already supplies 3 cranes on site, with more cranes scheduled to be mobilized to site later in the year. Construction of the B site is likely to start early next year, and Tutt Bryant is already discussing the supply of cranes with contractors for this phase of the project.

The first shipment of LNG is expected to commence in late 2010.
